Project Overview
MTM Engineering, headquartered in Slane, Ireland, is a leading specialist in critical power and communications solutions across Europe. Founded in 1997, the company delivers turnkey electrical contracting services—from pre-construction design and off-site manufacturing to full cable installation, containment, and medium-voltage termination.
As part of the company’s expansion, Instaspace Modular was commissioned to design, deliver, and install a modern, two-storey modular office building at the company’s headquarters in Slane, Ireland.
The building footprint was designed to fit into an existing operational site, and with all of the facilities expected of a modern HQ building for a highly successful company, including
- Management Offices
- Boardroom
- Open-Plan Office
- Kitchen
- Sanitary Facilities
- Stairs and Lift
- NZEB Certification
The building ground floor was installed in 2020 (18 Modules), and then the client requested Instaspace Modular to return to install the first floor in 2024 (18 modules – illustrating the flexibility of modular construction), using a total of 36 modules and with a total floor area of 740 square metres.
The building was designed with long-term sustainability in mind – In order to achieve nearly-zero energy building (NZEB) certification, the building’s energy efficiency was optimised through use of high-performance insulation and precision-engineered materials, which were selected specifically to enhance the building’s thermal efficiency
